SNOW S-2A

The Snow S-2 was one of the leading agricultural "crop duster" aircraft of the late 1950s and 1960s. The S-2 was designed in 1958 and was built in three different models. The main difference was the location of the chemical tank and the type of engine used. The S-2A was actually the second version built and was introduced in 1959. Rockwell International eventually bought the Snow Aeronautical Corporation. The company's founder, Leland Snow, left Rockwell in 1972 to found Air Tractor, which is still producing agricultural aircraft very similar to the S-2.
