LOCKHEED L-049 CONSTELLATION

The Lockheed Constellation is widely regarded as one of the best of the post-World War II piston-engine airliners. Originally designed for Trans World Airlines the first Connies were taken up by the Army Air Forces during World War II. These were returned to the airlines after the war and along with over 800 other Constellations saw service with most of the worlds major airlines.
